Customization & Hanging
Every Neon Metal sign is personalized with your own words. This page explains how to fill in your details and how to hang the finished sign.
Personalizing your sign
- Choose a design from our garage, home bar or retro collections.
- Pick a size option on the product page.
- Type your name, shop name, phrase or year into the personalization fields.
- Check the spelling, capitalization and spacing. What you type is what we print.
Text tips
- Keep it short. Fewer words print larger and are easier to read from across a garage or bar.
- Watch capitalization. Type the text exactly as you want it to appear.
- Use your own names and words. We cannot print sports team logos, brand names, or characters owned by others.
- Ask first if unsure. Email us before ordering and we will tell you whether your text will fit the design.
Changing your details
Email us within 24 hours of purchase to change your text at no charge. After that, production may have started.
Hanging your steel sign
- Check the product page for mounting details for that design.
- Use screws with anchors that suit your wall: drywall anchors for plasterboard, masonry plugs for brick or concrete, wood screws for studs or timber.
- Mark the positions with a pencil and use a level before drilling into the wall.
- For a garage or workshop, keep the sign away from where car doors, ladders or tools could hit it.
- Outdoors, pick a covered spot such as a porch or carport to protect it from rain.
Caring for the finish
Dust with a soft cloth. For marks, use a slightly damp cloth and dry it straight away. Avoid abrasive pads and solvents. More care tips are on our Warranty page.
